On the third day, Doug said that he is still having trouble sleeping at night, and that he finds it easier to sleep during the day.  This is good news because it means that he is getting back to normal–sleepless nights on the recliner and sleeping and surfing the web all day at work.

Doug has quit taking his pain medication for the most part and is only suffering from some minor soreness.  He is “peeing a bunch”  and the nurse has removed the catheter, so he is up and down a lot.  They removed the IV, so at least he is more mobile for all of the bathroom trips.  He is eating “solid” hospital food, which is one or two steps below the Golden Corral’s shaped matter.

As far as rejection, so far so good.  The doctors have told him that everyone will experience some form of rejection but so far he is in good shape.

I have been conducting interviews on IM for my posts, so when I get Izaak on IM later this morning I will post more information about his condition.
